Some suggest it’s the birth place of Catholicism, where some just say it’s just where the Pope resides. Take it as you will, Rome isn’t short of chapels, churches and spiritual spots!
Land in Rome and transfer to your accommodation. After you’ve had the chance to settle in your group will be heading out to the Vatican City. Spanning right across to the River Tiber, students will get a good chance to explore beautiful gardens and architecture including St Peter’s Basilica.
In the morning students will visit the famous Sistine Chapel. This symbol of papal authority is held as one of the most famous in the Western world! Students can here explore the talents of Michelangelo on a guided tour. In the afternoon students will head over to The Pantheon, dating back to 27 B.C this is the temple of the gods!
In the morning students will head to The Great Synagogue, the art deco feel is a stark contrast to the other spots of worship in the city. In the afternoon students will venture over to the Christian Catacombs, where thousands of the dead are held! Later transfer to the airport before catching your evening flight home.
