Once your group arrives in Beijing you’ll be transferred to your accommodation in your preorganised transport. Once your group has settled we’d suggest enjoying some free time to explore the city and in the evening sitting down for a traditional meal.
This morning your group will be heading to The Forbidden City which hosts the most popular museum in Beijing, The Palace Museum. Here’s a fact to share with your students, this building has been around since 1368 and was the former residence of the imperial leaders! Next your group will visit Beijing Museum of Natural History, which showcases a hundred thousand artefacts, fossils and specimens. In the evening, your group will watch a Kung Fu show at the Red Theatre!
Have your students packed their walking boots? Your group will be heading out of the capital to The Great Wall! One of the 7 wonders of the world, this wall is synonymous for protecting the Chinese from the Huns for generations. Following the Great Wall, your group will be visiting the Ming Tombs, the final resting place for 13 Ming Dynasty Emperors before heading back into Beijing.
Hope your group are early risers! You’ll be heading to Tiananmen Square, at the crack of dawn, to watch the sunrise flag raising ceremony. Following this your group will enjoy a traditional Chinese breakfast before heading to the National Museum. One of the most popular museums in the world, it’s a whole days’ worth of fun! Previous visitors reportedly spent 2 hours in just one of the several big halls. What makes this museum even better is it’s free for foreign visitors!
This morning your group will be visiting The Summer Palace, where your students can freely roam around the grounds and escape the busy city life. Up next is the Beijing Capital Museum, which hosts the largest collection of precious Chinese historical and cultural relics spread across 7 floors. In the evening, your group will enjoy a traditional meal.
Their final morning will be filled with a language lesson from a local teacher. Afterward students can wander through Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Later, transfer to the airport before catching a flight home.
On your final day, your group will be visiting the Temple of Heaven, which is believed to be the touching point of heaven and earth. Here you can enjoy a traditional tea ceremony and tasting in the park. Students can enjoy some free time to explore the city before heading back to the UK.
