Let’s taco bout it!

Ah Mexico! We’re talking crystal blue water, Indiana Jones style ruins and all the tacos your students can eat! A Latin American gem overflowing with rich Hispanic traditions and history with some serious bite! On an educational trip to Mexico your students will explore it all, from the Day of the Dead to the ancient civilisation of the Mayans. Students can’t help but say ‘Si’ to this educational adventure. The fiesta awaits!

Day 1 – Day 3

After your students settle in, they will kick off their time in Mexico with a trip to the famous ancient Ruins of Teotihuacan, spotting both the Moon Pyramid and the Sun Pyramid. Students will get the chance to visit the Basilica of our Lady of Guadalupe, where they will see the original tilma (or cloak) of Juan Diego. In the Coyoacán neighbourhood students will explore the Frida Kahlo museum to learn about the artistic culture.

Day 4 – Day 7

Your group will leave Mexico City for Tuxtla Gutiérrez, transferring to the highland town of San Cristobal where a city tour will expose the indigenous culture and rich history of the area. At the national park: Sumidero Canyon your group will spot wildlife and lush greenery. Travelling from here to Palenque, students will explore a unique urban city surrounded by lush rainforest. It’s here your students will see Mayan art & urban design collide.

Day 7 – Day 10

On the way to Playa del Carmen, your students will stop at the beautiful Bacalar Lake. Your students will explore Chichén Itza, an ancient Mayan archaeological site, home to Yucatan’s most popular and visited pyramid. Beach games will take place before transferring to the airport and heading home.
“Under the sea, under the sea… Education’s better down where it's wetter take it from me”. Forget Spring Break, your students will be diving into the ancient history of Cancun. Blowing bubbles at the underwater museum, MUSA, students will get up close and personal to a collection of 500 life-sized sculptures.
Chichen Itza
Chichen Itza
There is no ‘wonder’ this one is on the list! Undoubtedly the most iconic site in the country, the town of Chichen Itza has been the centre of pilgrimage for the Mayan people for over 1,000 years! Here’s a fact to share with your students, the pyramid was built using 365 steps, one for each day of the year. Here’s to checking off one of the Seven Wonders of the World!
Tamul Waterfall
Tamul Waterfall
Who says adrenaline and learning don’t mix? The beautiful Tamul Waterfall is one of the only waterfalls we’d recommend students to go chasing. Deservingly known as the most beautiful waterfalls in Mexico, this 105-meter-high fall is equipped for all manner of water sports including: rowing, canoeing and kayaking
