Your itinerary

Need help fitting it all in? Don’t worry, leave it to the experts! Take a look at our sample itinerary below. Don’t forget we tailor make itineraries to suit your curriculum objectives.

Day 1-3

Flying into Narita Airport, your students will kick off their Japanese tour by spotting attractions around Tokyo. After getting their head around jet lag your students will be ticking off attractions: Asakusa Kannon Temple, the Tokyo Sky Tree Observation Deck & Nakamise Shopping. Students will practice their sumo stance at a local training establishment and pay a visit to the Tokyo National Museum. Your group will get the chance to visit a local school to discuss a pre-organised topic with a partner establishment. Students will be fully immersed in culture with a Tea Ceremony Experience, Studio Ghibli Museum, the Akihabara Anime Center and the Meiji Shrine.

Day 4-7

Your group will be leaving the bright lights of Tokyo and transferring to Kyoto. On their way they will be ticking off Lake Ashi Cruise, Hakone Ropeway, Owakudani Vally and then jetting on the bullet train to Kyoto. It’s here that the Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kinkakuji Temple and Kiyomizu Temple await.

Students will pay a visit to some furry friends at the Iwatayama Monkey Park. From there they will explore the Togetsu-kyo Bridge, Tenryuji Temple, Samurai Kembu Show and Kyoto Handi Craft Center.

Day 8-11

Your group will leave Kyoto and head to Osaka. Your students will round off their trip with a Hiroshima station and Hiroshima Miyajima sightseeing tour. Your group will enjoy some free time in Japan before transferring and leaving for the UK.
Tokyo is a city straight out of a sci-fi film, we’re talking neon lit streets, skyscrapers ready for King Kong and talking robots (yes, the future is here). Here your students will discover the art of Manga at the Ghibli Museum, experience unique noisy haggling at the Tsukiji Fish Market and discover the beauty of the cherry blossoms in Shinjuku Gyeon.
If your group’s wanting to experience a more traditional side of Japan, Kyoto should be on the list. Creative students will leave ever so inspired by the colourful backdrop, world’s away from Tokyo’s streets. Kyoto is overflowing with Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines. We recommend the Fushimi Inari-taisha shrine and Arashinyama bamboo forest for all students.
What can we say about Osaka? Plain & simple: ‘good food and a good time.’ In fact, it’s unofficial slogan ‘kuidaore’ translates to “eat until you drop”, now that’s something students can get onboard with! This port town is well known for its modern architecture, energetic nightlife and all the authentic Japanese street food, the perfect place for bringing education to life!
