Educational Trips to Brussels

And not a sprout in sight!

The hip capital of Belgium is one after our hearts, famous for its mussels, waffles, chocolate shops and proud owner of the ‘French fry’. Brussels is the perfect base for exploring neighbouring cities: Bruges, Ypres and even Waterloo. It’s practically on our doorstop, so really, it would be rude not to!

Your perfect educational tour

Searching for an educational tour? Take a look at the main attractions Brussels has to offer by subject!

History & Politics

Liberated back in 1944, this is a city rich in history and culture. Students can explore exhibits in the Natural History Museum or the floral grounds and exhibits in the Cinquantenaire museum.

Art & Design

Your students could spend all day wandering round the 20,000 drawings, sculptures and paintings in the Royal Museum of Fine Arts, or discover older pieces in the Magritte Museum.

Not sure where to start?

Don’t worry, leave it to the experts! Take a look at our sample itinerary below. Don’t forget we tailor make itineraries to suit your curriculum objectives. You can download our Brussels destination guide here.

Day 1

Kick off your trip in Brussels by visiting the big attractions: The Grand Place and The Cinquantenaire. In the early afternoon head to The Atomium, spend some time browsing the exhibits and watch the sun set over the skyline, with the best view of the city.

Day 2

Spend your second day getting to grips with the political history of the city. Take a look at the European Union, the European Commission, the European Parliaments centre and even take a guided tour of the Parliaments chamber, to get a true taste of modern politics. In the afternoon, visit the Chocolaterie Duval to discover the art of chocolate making and do some all-important sampling!

Day 3

Spend your morning having fun with science at the Technopolis Science Museum, stand in a soap bubble, sleep on a bed of nails and even ride a bike 5 metres above the ground. Enjoy some free time in the city before making your way back to the UK, on an evening flight.
