Our supplier, Annie’s Lodge, was a perfect fit for educational groups looking to explore Malawi, but due to varying standards in global health and safety, they simply didn’t have the infrastructure to support educational groups safely.
We used our global network of suppliers and international connections to sponsor the installation of fire alarms in the property. We wanted to ensure that not only our educational group, but those for years to come, can explore the surrounding community whilst remaining safe.
“More and more schools and community groups have had the chance to visit Malawi by booking through STA Travel Education. Each new group supported to visit Malawi helps support the Malawian economy and further strengthens the bilateral relationship by inspiring each generation to get involved.
“We are hugely grateful for the profit-share arrangement we have with STA Travel Education, which sees 15% of STA’s Scotland-Malawi profits donated back to the Scotland Malawi Partnership. This extra revenue makes a huge difference to our small charity as we in turn support 1,200 different civic links between our two nations, across schools, churches, hospitals, charities and community groups.”
