Forget the busy streets of Vietnam or the bright lights of New York City, as a proud Brit I think we’ve got everything we need in the capital! Don’t get me wrong, I jump at any chance to flee the country, but it’s not always easy, or cheap to do so. London is one of my favourite places to spend a long weekend and if planned to perfection, it doesn’t have to break the bank.
What’s your favourite thing about the city?
If I’m being honest I’m a sucker for the architecture and the ‘Big Smoke’ isn’t short of it. From the old to the new; The Shard, The Wilkins Building, St. Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey, I find their intricate design fascinating and I’m happy to spend my days walking their grounds.
I relish in being a tourist, so I will normally catch a hop-on-hop-off bus or a guided tour, that’s the best way to skip queues and get a real backstory of what you’re seeing.
What’s your favourite attraction in London?
The Warner Bros. Studio Tours is a great day out. Whether you’re an avid fan, budding filmmaker or simply searching for a day activity, it’s well worth the trip!
Top tips for travellers
Invest in a tube map or download an app, but always make sure your pre-plan your route! Whether it’s your first time in the city, or it’s your second home, London tubes can be incredibly confusing and can get the better of any traveller.
