Students will land in Singapore and transfer to their accommodation. After adjusting to the time difference and visiting local markets, the group will then head out for a local meal. Here comes culture!
Today your students will be exploring Sentosa Island. Whizzing across from the mainland on a cable car or monorail (who wants to walk anyway?) they’ll be taking in everything this island has to offer. The Tiger Sky Tower is the highest observation tower in Singapore, so obviously boasts the very best views, it’s pretty colourful too! Fort Siloso will give students their daily dose of history, before they head back to the mainland.
Today will be heavy on the architecture! A guided walking tour will tick off modern and ancient masterpieces. Students will compare the styles of performing arts house: Theatres by the Bay, Victoria Theatre and Concert Hal & Lai Chun Yuen Opera House. In the late afternoon, your students will be heading to The Marina Bay Sands, for an undisputed epic sunset.
This morning your students will be heading to a local university, it’s here an architecture lecturer will be delivering a talk on a pre-agreed topic. After a lunch stop, your student will be going all art deco! Spotting designs in the city: The Asia Insurance Building, The Cathay Building & The Capitol Theatre, to name a few.
Students will spend time exploring a cluster of Malay houses, traditional Singaporean houses before modern influence invaded! They’ll also spot Shophouse buildings – typical to Southeast Asia. A wander across the Helix Bridge will give your students free time where they can explore the city at their leisure and pick up souvenirs.
The last morning gives students time to explore anything they might have missed before catching their transfer to the airport and heading home.
