Land in New York and head off to the crowning glory of architecture: The Empire State Building. It’s here your group will get a morning view and a guided tour. Your group will grab an American lunch in a local restaurant & then visit The Grand Central Station. In the afternoon, your students will enjoy some time relaxing in Central Park, situated in the heart of the city.
On their second morning in the Big Apple your group will be ticking off The Skyscraper Museum & The Tenement Museum. Since its opening in 1997, The Skyscraper Museum focuses on high-rise buildings and covers products of technology, objects of design, sites of construction, materials & their development in time. The Tenement Museum on the other hand is a National Historic Site, located on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. In the evening students will get the chance to see the Blue Man Group in action & enjoy a backstage pass where they will meet the cast out of costume, enjoy a lighting tutorial, meet the director & get a chance to play with the instruments.
In the morning, your group can enjoy a Brooklyn graffiti and street art tour, where members can spot themes in artistic expression. Staying in the Brooklyn neck of the woods, your students will be sampling more brownstones then they will know what to do with. After plenty of time for insta pics, your group will be retiring home for an early night.
On their final day, your group will explore one of the most popular sights of the city – Times Square. The afternoon will be filled with stunning panoramic views of the Rockefeller Centre, Empire State, Central Park and the whole city. It’s hard to leave a place like this, but your students will head off to the airport in the early evening.
