The now quirky and cool was once divided by opinions, culture and a mighty wall. Let your students explore the inner workings of a city rich in history and politics!

Day 1

Arrive in Berlin and head straight to one of the most engaging pieces of history the city has to offer. The Berlin Wall Memorial is a mixture of video and interactive displays, which will take students through the building of the wall and how it divided families and lives. In the evening your group will enjoy their first meal together and get to try the local cuisine.

Day 2

On a walking tour your students will tick off the major attractions: The Fernsehturm, Brandenburg Gate and The Reichstag Building. In the afternoon students will visit the DDR Museum, where they can really experience the conditions of Germany’s socialist past.

Day 3

On their final day students will explore the Jewish Memorial, a haunting reminder of WW2 and one of the largest tributes to those who lost their lives. In the afternoon students will stop off at The Checkpoint Charlie Museum. The museum contains official documentation from the crossing point and accounts of those fleeing the border.
