India is the epitome of organised chaos! Whilst treating the senses this kaleidoscope of colours sits on the far right of all things wonderful! Students will discover their zen on the shores of Sri Lanka. Colours, cultures and characters await!

Your itinerary

Contrast the sights of India with the slower pace of Sri Lanka. Your students will discover peace and power in one almighty trip. Check out our educational itinerary below, remember we can tailor this to suit your needs, just say the word!

Day 1 - Day 3

Arrive in Delhi and transfer to your accommodation. Your group will enjoy a guided tour of the ‘old’ and ‘new’ Delhi. Your group will spot the impressive cultural symbols of India: The India Gate, Parliament House, Gandhi Museum, Birla Temple and the President’s Palace. Your group will leave for Agra and visit the beautiful Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, where they will have plenty of time to take some pictures!

Day 4 – Day 6

Today your group will leave for Jaipur. Here your group will have dinner with a local family, discuss education with the locals and discover the focus Indian students have on science, technology, engineering and IT. Your students will visit a local engineering college to see their facilities. Students will have time to visit a local company to learn about the rise of the Indian economy. Later your students will transfer to Ambert Fort & Hawa Mahal. Your group will then be transferring to the zen paradise that is Sri Lanka!

Day 7 – Day 9

Transferring to Sigiriya via Dambulla, the group will explore the vibrantly decorated caves of Dambulla Cave Temple, the village around Sigiriyia and enjoy a cooking demonstration at a local pitstop. Your students will visit Popham’s Arboretum, created over five decades ago in the name of conservation. Your group will be transferring to Matale before visiting the Spice Garden, where they will discover some of the homegrown spices Sri Lanka has to offer. Students will explore the Batik Making Factory to discover colourful cloth and the creation of it. In Kandy, students will witness traditional Kandyan dancers & drummers and even fire walking! Students will tick off the Temple of the Sacreed Tooth, Relic of Budda, The Royal Botanical Gardens, Gem Museum and the War Cemetery.

Day 10 – Day 12

Your students will be venturing to Nuwara Eliya, affectionately known as ‘Little England’. On the way to this home away from home, your group will travel through the Ramboda Pass and cascading tea plantations. Stopping off at the Tea Factory and Plantation to witness the manufacturing process of the world famous ‘Ceylon Tea’. Your group will be visiting Horton Plains Nature Reserve to discover nature at its very finest! Leopards, sambhur, deer, Slender Lories, purple monkeys, eagles and some 247 species of butterflies all await you!

Day 13 – Day 14

Students will leave for Bentota via Udawalawe. We’ve saved the best ‘til last with a visit to the Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home (ETH). A refuge for elephants which have been affected by the human – elephant conflict. Students will then gather their belongings and embark on their journey home.
