Take part in a guided tour of the National Diet Building, (House of Councillors) it’s here that important political figures discuss the inner workings of the city and your students will get an opportunity to explore the grounds. In the afternoon your group can enjoy some free time to explore the city at their leisure.
Students will get into the ‘nitty, gritty’ with a trip to the Tokyo Stock Exchange, watch business men flock as they make thousands daily from market fluctuations. In the afternoon head over to the Sony Building, a Ginza landmark. It’s more than just the technology giant’s headquarters, on the eigth floor students can experience high quality audio entertainment.
Get up close and personal with a human scale robot! At the Honda Welcome Plaza, you’ll see a wide range of sustainable and modern automobiles and yes, robots! In the afternoon your group can enjoy a Japanese cooking class, from sushi to miso, perfect the local craft.
Today your group will sample some local culture by heading to the Nijo Castle and Kinkakuji Temple. Later, wander through the Akihabara district, here you students can spot the latest tech from international giants.
Visit Japan’s National Museum of Emerging Science and sample technology that’s set to shape the future. Later visit Toyota’s Mega Car Theme Park to learn about hybrid cars and their monetary worth to the economy, see classic cars in restoration and maybe jump in a simulator or two!
Enjoy your final breakfast as a group before catching your return flight home to the UK.
